Mr.Ranganathan, the Founder of Agathe Charitable Trust Pondicherry, INDIA. For the past 40 years he has been living in France with his family.
10 years ago, one pathetic situation happened. One of his daughters Agathe has passed away at her 20th age.
In her memory, he started to run a home for orphan girls named "Agathe Home".
Our Values and Priorities
A harmonious growth in good conditions of health, hygiene, with a healthy diet (vegetarian)
Education in the rules of community life and education at the local public school. A secular education but open and tolerant to the religious traditions of each.
Our association respects the international charter of the rights of the child.
Some children are learning tailoring in weekly 2 days class and weekly 2 days for dancing class.
AGATHE
Agathe was born in 1992 to a father from Pondicherry, Ranganathan, and a French mother, Isabelle. A very lively and precocious child, she was appreciated by all for her generosity and her maturity. Endowed with a very rich imagination, she loved literature and wrote poetic texts.
She had started studying to become a psychologist. She herself suffered from depressive disorders and declared anorexia nervosa at the age of 15 against which she fought for several years. This disease pushed her to end her life at the age of 20.
It is in memory of his memory and in accordance with his spirit of sharing, self-sacrifice and his dual Franco-Indian origin, that this project was born. Her relatives wanted to found “La Maison d'Agathe” in Pondicherry so that life could continue in her name.

Make Our dream smile a reality!
This family home also called "Agathe's Home" opened its doors in August 2017. Since then, it has welcomed little girls from the age of six, educated nearby, surrounded and accompanied with respect for their culture, in a reassuring place. , favoring access to education, activities, yoga, dance and music. Children will be cared for until they reach majority, our goal being to help them become independent.
